Both the Serena and Venus Williams have faced defeat in the biggest tournament of the tennis world; the Wimbledon. Both of the sisters had a sort of dramatic defeat from the tournament. They faced defeat in the fourth round of the tournament. Like their entrance in the tournament their defeat also left their fans and other player in shock.
Miss Serena played with her opponent Marion Bartoli in her fourth round. Her opponent was from the France and in both the sets Miss Serena could make three in one and six in the second set. But on the other hand, her opponent Marion played quite well and she successfully won the match by making six in one set and seven in the second set. Serena is not an ordinary tennis player but she has won up to thirteen grand slam titles in her career. Her record is quite successful and that’s what makes every body feared from her entrance. But as she has lost the round, her opponent of this round Miss Bartoli will play with Sabine Lisicki in the next round. This defeat has not just lower down the motivation level of Serena but has also lower down her rank in the world’s top most tennis players. Now she is listed at the one hundred and seventy fifth rank. Miss Pironkova defeated the second William sister in her fourth round. It is to be noticed that the score with which she got defeated is the same one at which she got defeated by Miss Pironkova in the 2010 tournament. Petra Kvitova is the next opponent who Miss Venus was supposed to be played with in the up coming round, but now the game will be between Kvitova and Pironkova.
Serena is of twenty nine years old and according to her she played quite well in the fourth well as she has entered in the tournament after a year’s leave due to surgical illness. Miss Venus lost the match after her sister’s defeat. In the sixth game, her opponent successfully broke her. For her opponent the grounds were friendly as she was more motivated by the leading rounds in the past. Miss Venus gave the remarks that the day was unhappily not good for the sisters, whatever the reason they could not win but both of them have enjoyed playing in the field and are happy to be back after their illnesses. She enjoyed the game but she also added that both of them had wished to see other one winning the tournament, but unluckily this did not happen and they lost together. This is a rare case that they both lost the rounds on the same day and they understand the competition and the reasons which lead them at the point.
